Quality Manager – Manufacturing Plant
The Quality Manager oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. The Quality Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), driving a culture of operational excellence, problem‑solving, and accountability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain and improve the plant’s QMS in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 or other applicable standards.
• Ensure documentation, procedures, and records are accurate, controlled, and audit‑ready.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits with customers, registrars, and regulatory bodies.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop quality team members.
• Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Provide training on quality tools, standards, and best practices.
Quality Assurance & Control
• Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final inspection activities.
• Establish and maintain sampling plans, inspection criteria, and testing protocols.
• Oversee proper calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
Customer & Supplier Quality
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCA/CAPA) processes.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers through audits, scorecards, and performance reviews.
Continuous Improvement
• Use Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical tools to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive improvement initiatives.
• Support cross‑functional teams in process optimization and problem‑solving.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Manage nonconforming material processes, including containment, disposition, and documentation.
• Assess risks and implement controls to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or other relevant standards.
• Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus.

• Strong understanding of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority.
